Though Scooby has been around since 1969, the series had numerous re-runs, follow-ups and spin-of that were aired on Cartoon network and Boomerang. I think I was around 6 or 7 when cable TV was introduced in our country. Mi abuelo, a fan of international films and shows called the nearest cable operator to install a cable TV.
Seeing me staring at the TV, the cable guy switched the channel to a “cartoon channel”. I’m not sure if it was Boomerang or FOX. But I was sure that was the first time I saw Scooby Doo and the rest of the gang.
Great Beginnings
Scooby-Doo is an American cartoon series produced in 1969. It features four teenagers namely Fred Jones, Daphne Blake, Velma Dinkley and Norville "Shaggy" Rogers and of course their dog/ buddy/ pal, Scooby Doo. Together they travel using the mystery machine to solve mysteries.
Hanna-Barbera and its successor Warner Bros. Animation produced numerous follow-up and spin-off including television specials, telefilms and two Warner Bros.–produced feature films.
Scooby-Doo was originally broadcasted on CBS from 1969 to 1976.
ABC aired the show until canceling it in 1986 and presented a spin-off featuring the characters as children, A Pup Named Scooby-Doo, from 1988 until 1991.
Scooby Doo's Great Mysteries was aired on FOX Family from 1998 until 2001.
The original series format was revived and updated for The WB Network's Kids' WB programming block as What's New, Scooby-Doo which ran from 2002 to 2006.
Another new series, Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue! began running on the The CW network until 2008.
In 2002, Scooby doo’s first film was released. It starred Freddie Prinze, Jr. as Fred, Sarah Michelle Gellar as Daphne, Matthew Lillard as Shaggy, Linda Cardellini as Velma, and Neil Fanning as the voice of Scooby-Doo, along with Scott Innes as the voice of Scrappy-Doo and Rowan Atkinson.
Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed is released on 2004 film. It is a sequel to 2002's Scooby-Doo.

Mystery Continues
The last Scooby Doo series I watched was Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated. It is the 11th incarnation of the series produced by Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network. Here, the characters were re-designed. Their original outfits were more stylized including Velma’s hairdo. Moreover, the series is darker, violent and realistic compared to the previous ones. Plus, they are solving mysteries in their home called Crystal Cove.

For me, this is the best ever Scooby Doo series produced because the series grew just as I grew. The issues in this series involve the gang themselves as well as their family. Scooby and Shaggy’s friendship were tested when Shaggy and Velma had a relationship. Daphne and Fred were supposed to get engaged but Fred cancelled it when he learned the mayor is not his real father. So Fred decided to leave Crystal Cove to find his real parents who were also part of the original Mystery Inc. Thus, the season 1 ended in heartache when the gang decided to split up.
When I watched the last episode, I was devastated because I did not expect the ending. It was heartbreaking! I wanted to watch season two right away. Then I read some posts saying that there might not be a season 2. And I hated myself for reading that post. But I am happy now because season two has started! J
